If you're a hipster, coffee drinker, tea person, or sugary coffee-like drink lover, head over to Hidden Grounds! This adorable little below-groundlevel cafe might be one of New Brunswick's best kept secrets. The atmosphere is peaceful with the delicious aroma of coffee. The first time I went, I ordered a tropical green tea and a bagel sandwich. I love green tea so I knew that would be the right choice for me, and the "tropical" part of it was delicious. When my sandwich was ready, they called my name and I walked up to get it. I bit into the soft, delicious whole wheat bagel, spread with cream cheese, & topped with layers of cucumber slices, tomato, and crunchy red onion. This sandwich was right up my alley & I loved it. It came with a side of potato chips as well. I loved this place so much I had to go back, & the second time I went I tried something a little different. I was in the mood for sugar so I ordered a cafe mocha to drink, and a traditional bagel with egg & cheese. The drink was simply coffee perfectly loaded with sugary chocolate syrup and a fancy coffeehouse latte design on top, and the sandwich was a toasted whole wheat bagel with scrambled eggs and melty cheddar cheese. Both of my Hidden Grounds experiences were amazing & I can't wait to go back for round three! They have so many different hot & iced drinks, and delicious homemade sandwiches for breakfast or lunch. go check out their menu at http://thehiddengrounds.com/menu/ or visit one (or both) of their two locations on Easton Ave!
